Breve premessa
I file audio disponibili su ChronoTrigger.it non sono mp3 o formati riproducibili dai comuni lettori multimediali per pc o dispositivi tascabili. I file qui scaricabili sono chiptunes, ovvero file binari in grado di essere riprodotti solo da specifici lettori che simulano il funzionamento dei chip sonori delle consolle dell’epoca. Per Chrono Trigger in particolare il chip sonoro è quello montato dal Super Nintendo (SNES), ovvero l’SPC700!

Come ascoltare i chiptunes?
[Windows]: esiste un plugin per Winamp scaricabile qui 
[Mac OsX]: esistono almeno le seguenti due alternative, http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/24852/vox , o http://cogx.org/download.php.
[Linux & altri]:basta un qualunque riproduttore multimediale che usi la libgme o la libopenspc (come xmms).
